Some Real Fireworks on The 4th!

Pastor Paul holding “Alexandra The Great” minutes after her birth! So Sorry I have been away from my blog for several days. I will try to bring you and my other readers up to date on the amazing things that have been happening during these last ten days. It’s been a very busy two weeks for the Jacksons, Prophets, ARC Choir and Highlanders.

Two weeks filled with the best and sadly, some of the worst that life has to bring our way…Ah…but,
…God’s presence is such a comforting balm and a convicting guide! By His grace we walk in victory. “Glory to His Name”

Without a doubt, the best thing that happened during these days was the birth of our beautiful little “God-Grand Daughter”, Alexandra Paige Etters, on July the 4th, 2007. Her name was the choice of her parents, Christy and Jeremy Etters. My “title” is my own designation. We are so very close to Jeremy and Christy. “Jerm” is my younger son’s best friend. They literally “grew up together” while Jeremy’s Dad, Bob, worked with me in Crusade ministry (5 years) and then as my associate at The Highlands Church for more than 10 years.
FYI: The incomparable Jack Price introduced me to Bob Etters when he invited him to sing a solo before 3,000+ at our 1984 Crusade in Hot Springs National Park!

Jeremy now assists my son, Micah, and me as a member of our Highlands’ Band and our “Kidzone” Pastor. He is also our “Artist in Residence” …and is a very gifted free hand artist. He is one of a very few artists certified by The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, AR.

Simply stated: It is a delight to serve with him. He is constantly pleasant, positive and encouraging…not only to our family, but to everyone in his family and in our church. He is the closest thing to the “perfect church member” I have seen in almost 35 years of ministry and 17 years of my pastorate at The Highlands…and I have never said that about anyone…in fact, the thought only entered my mind as I began to write this post…but it is true.

Yes, “Alexandra” The Great is one “lucky” little girl! She has a great, talented, loving Mom…a fantastic big brother (Jackson Etters)…some excellent grand-parents…an Awesome church-family…and an amazing, honest, genuine and just plain ole good man as a Dad!…BUT, IT’s still me in the picture with Princess Alexandra! After all, I am her “God-Grand Father”…AND, it’s MY blog!

Come on…Come blog with me!

Alexandra is TRULY beautiful. I like you am honored to be a small part of her and her family’s life. She is a product of her parents geneticly and prayerfully, spiritually. I pray that God will protect her and grow her up in His Word. She will for sure have this, with the parents she has been given.

Her parents are just as you say, and her dad is a “perfect church member” and a wonderful human being used of God always. I have been a member of the Highlands for many years and Jeremy is always a joy, always postive, and always the same. So refreshing in this day and age. He is a Godly example to all he meets. He never meets a stranger and can make anyone feel welcome. God’s love shines through him.
Christy is also a miracle and a blessing. A helpmate to Jeremy, an excellent mother (a natural), and also a Godly example.

As stated above, I’m honored to know them and be involved in their lives.

    God is good…All the time.

Congrats to Christy and Jeremy and Jackson on the new member of the Etters family. Another one of Gods blessing is in this world. By being a member of the Highlands and seeing how Jeremy and Christy are I know Alexandra will have a blessed life. And who knows I might even can help somewhere down the road.

I could only echo the comments above. Alexandra is a blessed little girl to have Godly parents like Jeremy and Christy. They are an example to all of what a young Christian family looks like. Their faith and humbleness are impressive. I know that I am a better person for being around them…
