Never Forget!
It is hard to believe that it has been 7 years since that dreadful sunny September morning. You know the one I am speaking of. You remember where you were; who was with you; what you were doing. It was a day that changed our lives…and the life of our Nation…for the rest of our time on this earth. Last year I posted an article entitled, Where were you? Kathy and I were in Branson on that shocking morning. Read about it HERE.
Thousands died that day in New York City, Washington DC, and a Pennsylvania pasture. Hundreds of people who were just starting what they thought would be a typical day. But, September 11, 2001 was anything but typical.
“9 -11″, as we have come to call it, was made a nightmare of a morning by sick, small minded, misguided, evil, barbaric men who chose to take the lives of innocent people from 95 Countries, in the Twin Towers alone. People who were not military personnel of any kind. Not even Government employees. Ordinary citizens, striving to provide for themselves and their families as they lived “FREE”, in our wonderfully blessed United States of America.
This morning, I awoke in Louisville, KY at the National Quartet Convention. Already gospel music fans have been entertained by the talented Gaither Vocal Band/Signature Sound, “Together” Concert at noon today in Freedom Hall…and the awesome Pianorama taking place now, featuring some of the greatest pianist in the world…including Dino and Kim Collingsworth. AND YES…the historical significance of this day has been acknowledged at both events. (Feels kind’a neat to be at a place called FREEDOM HALL today)
(More on NQC will be reported at this blog as the next 3 days unfold. I will tell you that the Dove Brothers were at their absolute best as they closed last night’s session as midnight approached…I love their version of “Get Away Jordan” and of course, “I Can Pray”…Wow!)
Well, back to the subject at hand. I do not, and cannot understand how muddle-minded, Christ rejecting, America hating terrorist can delude themselves into doing something as heinous as there extreme crime against humanity perpetrated on 9-11-01. I am not going to spend any of my God given time trying to understand how some socio-economic-political differences, led to anything as senseless as what those malovelent monsters, masquerading as men, did on that memorable morning.
The one thing I know…and I promise: I WILL NEVER FORGET! And I pray that YOU will NEVER FORGET! And I pray that all Americans, regardless of their political or religious persuasions, will NEVER FORGET!
God Bless America! Stand beside us, and guide us…amen.
Come on…come blog with me!

I was on my way to class at the University of Memphis. I got to Economics and our teacher walked in and told us to leave and go watch the news. We must never forget. The events of that day I believe were a taste of what will happen to this country should God remove His hand of protection and blessing. We as the church in America need to wake up before that happens.

I was in the hallway going back to the electric shop (work)at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock Ark. I could see it on the TV monitors as I walked by some of the clinic’s. People were staring at the TV’s in unbelief wondering how someone could do that to the USA. The hospital was put on alert not knowing what could be next. The Federal building in Little Rock the Jacksonville Air Force Base the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Who knew? We checked all generator’s for fuel which then was 26 different ones in different locations. We would call home some people would go home if they lived far away. That was a day that started people thinking. And I still wonder what if? I will never forget. Jesus is Lord!!!!

I turned on my tv just before the second plane hit the twin towers. At first I thought that it was a clip of a movie, then realized it was for real and sat there horrified when I saw what was happening, then in no time, they hit the pentagon! No! This can’t be happening in America! I prayed for those lost in the inferno of the towers, and the innocent people on the planes. How could anyone do things like this?? My prayers were with the families who lost so many loved ones, from babies to old people, those from many walks of life, many different nationalities and faiths.
For a while there was a revival of the faithful and many unbelievers were brought to the Lord, but it didn’t take long many of those revived to cool off, now what has happened to them, have they forgotten what the Lord has done for us, that He didn’t allow those heritics to take over our nation? We must to keep our prayers centered on our troops who remain in harms way for God’s protection and for the coming elections, that Hs will will be done and His President will be safely installed in January to direct our country back to Him. God bless you all and PRAY, give Him all of yourself, not a little or some, but all..That is all He wants of us.

I was at work, at my fire station in West LR, Station 21, that day when it all came down. We thought about our comrades at the fire department there in New York and knew it wasn’t going to be a good day. I am like many of you that day at first were stunned and then got mad and then did like most people, go home hug your family members and tell them you loved them. I didn’t know what would be next, only God Almighty knew. I prayed more than I had months before and yes, Beverly, I agree, I felt like there were those that probably were saved because of this tragedy!
Now, more than ever, we must Never Forget and pray more than ever, that our Country will put God back in schools, our workplace, our government and most importantly, in our families. I have seen more here in Iraq than I care to repeat, but I pray for this country and its people. Most do not have a high school education and Saddam had used all the revenues from oil for his personal use, that there are no schools for the poor. Continue to pray for all over here and God Bless America!
Love each of you!

I was upstairs in my bedroom , when Larry called up and told me
to turn on the TV. I praise God for the peace that he gives and that
he has protected us from more attacks. President Bush is getting
a lot of criticism, but I believe that God had him in the White House
for such a time as this.

What I am about to tell everyone here, is nothing short of a miracle. At 8:46 a.m. when the first plane hit the towers, I was 4 blocks down the road from the World Trade Center. I had personal business to attend to not far off and I happened to be in the area when the planes hit. Needless to say, there was destruction all over the place like what one would see in a horror movie. In a nutshell, It was a day I won’t soon forget being a first hand witness to it all. Thank God He got me out of harm’s way.
