Ed Hill brings Sharon home…but illness continues

Thank you for praying for Sharon Hill, Ed’s wife. She is now home. Still very weak. Still has pneumonia in her left lung. Her Dr sent her home to protet her from the outbreak of respiratory conditions filling the hospital at this time. He also felt that she was well enough to rest better, at home. Ed agreed, and brought her home. They also have support from their daughter’s family, that lives near by.

So many folks have prayed for Sharon. I posted the prayer request at the SINGING NEWS forums as well as sending the Editor,Danny Jones , an e-mail. SN picked up the story and helped us spread the word. Thank you sir. I also sent e-mails to THE PROPHETS’ e-list, as well as my Pastor friends, The Highlands Church and the ARC Choir. Folks swung into action everywhere. I have received dozens of e-mails and text messages expressing prayers and sentiments of love and concern. PLEASE leave your prayers and “Get Well” wishes in our comment section. just click on the word “comments” at the bottom, or the article Title above…then type your words in the comment box that will be at the bottom of the page.

MORE ABOUT ED & SHARON HILL…and The Prophets

Wow! People love Ed Hill! In case any of my readers don’t know. Ed is the founder and the baritone for The Prophets. He has been in the work of Gospel music for 49 years. During that time he has sung with JD Sumner & The Stamps, The Statesmen, The Masters V and the Singing Americans. In 1959, with the help of Jay Berry, He founded The Prophets Qt. They crossed the USA singing the Gospel until Ed went to work for JD Sumner in 1973. All through those years, Sharon has been there for Ed. Her encouragement, counsel and prayers have been essential to Ed’s success. Pray on, dear friends.

In late 2006, with the help of Johnny Minick, Ed revived The Prophets! They approached me about singing lead for the group, as well as bringing some original songs to the recordings. I accepted and, as they say, “the rest is history”

Shortly thereafter, tenor Bill Baize(The Stamps Qt), and bass Mike Allen (Gaither Homecoming Tour & TV), were added to the group. This spring, at Johnny Minick’s invitation, legendary record executive/producer and piano stylist, Mr Eddie Crook, brought his sizeable talents to the group. Eddie is co-producing our TV show. He is now playing piano for all of our LIVE and On Air performances. What a blessing for me to be part of a group that brings together so much business, music and ministry talent.

I can honestly say that all of us “Prophets” want God to receive the Glory for everything we do for HIS Kingdom. Amen.

Come on…come blog with me!

We are still praying for Sharon and Ed during this time. Glad she got to go home. Home will certainly help her feel better. At least someone won’t be waking her up every hour or so when she is resting. God Bless and we love you.
